Shiatsu with Su

Suzie Wheeler offers treatments on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons in Santosha Yoga Studio in Dalkey.

I first discovered Shiatsu in 2002, after the tragic death of a much loved brother. Shiatsu provided an invaluable support during my grieving and healing process. Subsequently I decided to train (at theIrishSchoolof Shiatsu) as a practitioner myself. Prior to this, I lived and worked inLondon as a painter. Since childhood I have found nature’s power, beauty, and ever transforming energy awe-inspiring. A love of painting dramatic landscapes developed from this.

I practice Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga and have always been fascinated by the Mind/Body energetic link. The principles of Shiatsu and Oriental Medicine continue to teach me so much, deepening my awareness of the interrelationship between Mind and Body. This understanding has had a profound effect, enabling me to access more efficiently, a grounded, calm centre from which to deal with life’s ups and downs. Each client offers me the opportunity to learn more. To initiate and support anybody’s process in restoring health and maintaining balance and wellbeing in their lives, is a privilege.

I am a member of the Shiatsu Society of Ireland. I also studied Holistic Health and hold  I.T.E.C. diplomas in Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage and Stress Management.
